This tour or trip can also be done in reserve (starting in Kasane and ending in Maun)
In the morning clients are picked up at their lodge in Kasane and after a 4-hours’ drive on a 4*4 safari vehicle arrive in Elephant Sands. Elephant Sands gives the clients an opportunity to observe herds of elephants and other wild animals from a very close distance. Clients will sit patiently on their vehicle by the waterhole and view how the animals interact.
In the very early morning clients have a cup of coffee and/or tea then go on a guided walking excursion or activity through the bushes of the Elephant Sands Game Reserve or on a game drive.
On return clients have a full breakfast and time for a last view on the going ins at the waterhole before continuing the journey or heading to Makgadikgadi.
Clients will then overnight under the stars at the edge of the Ntwetwe Salt pans where they can settle down around a warm and wonderful camp fire in time to watch one of the most spectacular African sunsets.
Clients will also be served a 3-course meal around a candle lit dining table while enjoying the solitude and loneliness of the salt pan.
Clients then go to bed to snuggle down into the warm and cozy blankets whilst watching the night sky passing right above their head (This overnights are a favorite with astronomers and anyone keen to see the Milky Way in all its glory)!
After breakfast, clients leave the salt pans and head to Makgadikgadi National Park where our team has already set up the wilderness camp for them and also enjoy a sunset drive.
After wonderful and delicious dinner clients then sit around the campfire and enjoy and share the experiences of the day.
Clients have an early morning wake with a quick breakfast and this will allow them to go on an early game drive as this is the time when predators are on the hunt or prowl.
Clients spend the day on game-drives along the Boteti River. After the morning game drive clients return to camp where you they will have a chance to freshen up with a refreshing bush shower. The team will already be waiting for the clients with brunch so that they can go on their next game drive as soon as the hot midday sun is over and the animals come out of their hiding places again.
The evening program once again entails dinner and story-telling around the campfire and the unforgettable experience of being inside the bush.
And once more clients are woken up in the early morning with a warm Tswana greeting “Dumela” so that after a fast coffee, tea and breakfast snack they can go on an early morning game drive. Today we are ending the safari in Maun. After a morning game drive activity and a pick-nick lunch in the bush clients head towards Maun, where the safari ends in the late afternoon or early evening.
